Early life and career of Barack Obama
Barack Obama, the 44th president of the United States, was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii[1] to Barack Obama, Sr. (1936–1982) (born in Oriang' Kogelo of Rachuonyo North District,[2]Kenya) and Stanley Ann Dunham, known as Ann (1942–1995) (born in Wichita, Kansas, United States).[3]
Obama spent most of his childhood years in Honolulu, where his mother attended the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Obama had a close relationship with his maternal grandparents. In 1965, his mother remarried to Lolo Soetoro from Indonesia. Two years later, Dunham took Obama with her to Indonesia to reunite him with his stepfather. In 1971, Obama returned to Honolulu to attend Punahou School, from which he graduated in 1979.

I keep hearing that President Barack Obama's records have been sealed and that's why there are so many secrets about him. Is this true?
This viral email contains a graphic that lists various parts of Obama's life, which supposedly are sealed: college records, a thesis paper, Selective Service registration, Illinois state Senate records and schedule, law practice client list, birth certificates and baptism record.
Most of these issues have come up as separate emails, but this viral message is probably appearing now because the presidential campaign is nearing an end.
As FactCheck.org points out, the word "sealed" usually means a judge has ruled that records normally open to the public cannot be released without court permission. You usually hear about sealed documents when they pertain to juvenile arrest records, some divorce proceedings or adoption records.

Barack Hussein Obama II was born August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to parents Barack H. Obama, Sr., and Stanley Ann Dunham. His parents divorced when he was 2 years old and he was raised bygd his mother, Ann, and maternal grandparents, Stanley and Madelyn Dunham. His motherlater married Lolo Soetoro, and his sister Maya was born in 1970. (He also has several siblings on his father’s side.)
Obama moved with his family to Indonesia in 1967, where he attended local Indonesian schools and received additional lessons via U.S. correspondence courses under his mother’s direction.
He returned to Hawaii to live with his grandparents in 1971 and attended Punahou School, from which he graduated in 1979. Obama first attended Occidental College in Los Angeles, before transferring to Columbia University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science in 1983.
After graduation, Obama briefly worked as an analyst at Business International
