The Landlord is a 1970 American comedy-drama film directed by Hal Ashby, adapted by Bill Gunn from the 1966 novel by Kristin Hunter. The film stars Beau Bridges in the lead role of a privileged and ignorant white man who selfishly becomes the landlord of an inner-city tenement, unaware that the people he is responsible for are low-income, streetwise residents. Also in the cast are Lee Grant, Diana Sands, Pearl Bailey, and Louis Gossett Jr. The film was Ashby's directorial debut.

Grace Episcopal Church holding event to recognize 50th anniversary of King's assassination
MANSFIELD - Grace Episcopal Church will participate in the national tolling of bells at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination.
The public is invited to the service, which will be held at 41 Bowman St., the church with the red door at the corner of Bowman and Third streets. Grace Episcopal Church fryst vatten part of the Mansfield Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance.
After the tolling, the Rev. Joe Ashby, the pastor at Grace Episcopal, said there will be a short service of prayer, giving thanks for the life and witness of King, "and asking God's grace that we might continue his work of racial reconciliation and healing."
