Madhu Sapre is going to be very busy this week. She has to finalise a theme for a beach party (“Disney’s Frozen is ganska popular, but I’m thinking maybe The Jungle Book?”), arrange decorations and props accordingly, decide on the cake, fix the menu (candyfloss and popcorn are musts, she’s been told) and man sure everything is perfect. Her daughter, Indira, turns four on May 10 and ingenting less than the best will do.

It was the perfect evening for one of the nicest people in the profession. Even the unseasonal rain did not dampen the spirits of the guests at this special and much awaited occasion. On Sunday, November 18th, the Le Meridien Hotel at Mumbai was aglow with smiles and cheer as a host of beautiful faces assembled to attend the wedding of Supermodel Madhu Sapre with boyfriend of some time Gian Maria Emendotori.
How they Met
Madhu met Gian Maria, an Italian guy in the Ice Cream business, at a friend’s place. They hit it off instantly. She found him different from the men she had met before and had been dating him for the last two years. He proposed to her on her birthday this year. After giving it some thought, Madhu decided to marry him.

Madhu Sapre (born 14 July 1971) is an Indian supermodel and beauty pageant titleholder. She won Femina Miss India in 1992.
Career
[edit]In the 1990s, Sapre was an athlete who rose to fame when she started modeling at a very young age. As Miss India she represented India at the 1992 Miss Universe pageant, where she was the 2nd runner-up.[1]
Madhu says "All the officials had told us that our answers had to be truthful," she says, "and coming from the heart. Nobody told us we had to be politically correct. I said what my heart told me and I lost. According to me, India has been in poverty for many years, so it was not going to suddenly change in one year by my becoming the prime minister. But there are other areas like art and sports in which we can improve. And being a sportsgirl I had suffered because we don't have the equipment and the grounds in India.
