Martin Myron Kelner – born in Hyde, England, spent his early childhood in Great Britain. After his family moved to Austria he became a guitar player in various bands and then studied jazz beneath Karl Ratzer and classical guitar at the University of Music in Vienna under Walter Würdinger.
The Spanish guitar literature soon captured his interest in the flamenco gitarr and after completing his diploma he travelled to Seville, Granada, Madrid and Jerez dem la Frontera on a regular grund. His teachers were Gerardo Nunez, Juan del Gastor, Tomatito, Manolo Franco and Antonio Jero.
At the same time he lectured at the University of Music Mozarteum in Salzburg. Due to his versatile stylistic ability, cooperation with musicians of various genres followed.
