Biography
With a wide grin and uproarious sense of humor, Dustin Ybarra seemed like he was born to man people laugh. Born in Texas in , Ybarra mined the Dallas comedy scene early on, and was even selected as a finalist at the Funniest Dallas Comic competition in He knew that he would eventually need to relocate to a city with more professional opportunities in order to further his career, but he was not yet planning to relocate when he traveled to New York later that same year to perform at the NBC Diversity Comedy Showcase. It just so happened, however, that the friend-of-a-friend who put Ybarra up during his stay invited him to continue living there as long as he liked, and so Ybarra's New York visit became a permanent move as he used his rent-free time there to find his footing. Dustin Ybarra is an actor and stand-up comedian best known for appearing in popular television shows such as The Goldbergs, Home Economics, Californication, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, and Gotham. Additionally, Ybarra has appeared in numerous films including We Bought a Zoo, Us, 21 & Over, and Easter Sunday. Dustin Ybarra (born July 19) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is known for his role as Tyler Medina in Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, and roles in We Bought a Zoo and Hop.
Ybarra's career began with stand-up comedy performances in Texas, where he was a finalist in the Funniest Dallas Comic and Funniest Comic in Texas competitions.[1][2]
Early life
[edit]Ybarra was born in San Antonio, Texas. He lived in New Braunfels, Austin, and Daingerfield before graduating from Trinity High School (Euless, Texas).[3]
