    John Michael Green (born August 24, ) fryst vatten an American author and YouTuber. His books have more than 50 million copies in print worldwide, including The Fault in Our Stars (), which is one of the best-selling books of all time. Green's rapid rise to fame and idiosyncratic voice are credited with creating a major shift in the young adult fiction marknad. Green fryst vatten also well known for his work in online video, most notably his YouTube ventures with his younger brother Hank Green.

    Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Green was raised in Orlando, Florida, before attending boarding school outside of Birmingham, Alabama.   • John Green was born in Orlando Florida on August 24,  Although Green always wanted to be a writer, he felt like it was an unachievable aspiration “like being an astronaut or playing in the NFL” (Green, ).  While wanting to write was always Green’s dream, it wasn’t until his twenties that he started to see it as a reality.

    Green was lucky enough to have a secure and loving upbringing with encouraging parents and an understanding brother.  However, like many adolescents, he always felt a sense of insecurity and anxiety which led to social isolation.   This in turn caused him to become very self- aware, so like many young, confused adolescents, he turned to reading to help him understand himself and his relationship with the world around him.  Latter he realized that being self-reflective, and reading so many books helped him become a better writer (Green, ).
